## ⚙️ Utility Billing Settings

The **Utility Billing Settings** Doctype centralizes critical configuration options for managing automation, service flows, customer onboarding, penalties, and document creation in ERPNext.

### 📦 Sales & Stock Settings

| **Field**                                                        | **Description**                                                                                     |
| ---------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Sales Order Creation State**                                   | Sets whether Sales Orders are created in `Draft` or `Submitted` state during utility workflows.     |
| **Stock Entry Creation State**                                   | Determines the default state (`Draft` or `Submitted`) of Stock Entries linked to utility processes. |
| **Create single invoice for multiple sales orders per customer** | If enabled, merges multiple Sales Orders for a customer into a single Sales Invoice.                |
| **Sales Invoice Creation State**                                 | Specifies if Sales Invoices are automatically created as `Draft` or `Submitted`.                    |

### 📝 Service Request Settings

| **Create Customer from Utility Service Request on Submit** | Automatically creates a Customer when a Utility Service Request is submitted.                         |
| **Enable Adding Extra Rows for SO/SI Creation**            | Allows extra table rows for complex billing structures when generating Sales Orders or Invoices.      |
| **Enable Site Survey**                                     | Enables site surveys as part of the utility request process before generating contracts or documents. |
| **Require Deposit Before Contract Creation**               | Prevents contract creation unless a deposit is received.                                              |
| **Require Contract Before Sales Invoice Creation**         | Blocks invoice generation unless a valid contract exists.                                             |

### 🧾 Recurring Billing Approach

| **Field**                        | **Description**                                                                                                          |
| -------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Rent Billing Approach**        | How recurring rent is generated. **Auto Repeat** copies the reference document on schedule; **Item Price** bills at the rate valid on the billing date. |
| **Auto Create Property Service Item** | Creates and links a service item named after the property, used as its rent billing item.                            |
| **Service Item Group**           | Item group used when creating the service item of a property.                                                            |
| **Item Price UOM**               | UOM used when generating Item Prices from an item price schedule.                                                        |
| **Default Price List**           | Fallback price list used on a Utility Service Request when neither the request nor the customer provides one.            |
