3.2 Tax Codes Setup

Kenya Compliance via DigiTax requires ERPNext tax configurations to be aligned with KRA eTIMS tax codes to ensure correct calculation and reporting of taxes during transaction submission.

• Item Tax Templates must be mapped to the correct eTIMS tax codes to ensure item-level taxes are correctly interpreted and validated during submission.
• Sales Taxes and Charges Templates must also be mapped to the correct eTIMS tax codes to ensure invoice-level tax calculations are accurately reflected.

This alignment ensures consistency between ERPNext tax processing and eTIMS requirements, enabling accurate tax reporting and successful submission through DigiTax.
